Daughtry Rocks St Augustine Florida
Co-headlining with the Goo Goo Dolls last night at St. Augustine Ampitheater, Daughtry took the stage in the sweltering Florida heat with opening number Baptized which had the fans immediately on their feet and singing along. He quickly followed with favorites Feels Like Tonight and Over You while the fans continued to sing along and dance in the aisles. Daughtry took the time to introduce each band member during Traitor, with each performing a mini solo. It’s Not Over was next followed by What About Now which Daughtry sang with deep emotion and conviction while the video played on the screens behind him. What About Now is a message that should be heard and seen by all. Wild Heart was next on the playlist with Daughtry exclaiming this was “his personal favorite”. Battleships, with its deep heavy rhythms and message, was a total hit with the crowd. Daughtry then dedicated Home to all those currently in the military or who ever served in the military and sang it with such emotion that the crowd erupted into thunderous applause at the end. Next came the ever popular September followed by the fan favorite of the night, Superman. Daughtry complimented the fans who were on their feet dancing and singing along, calling them “freaks of nature” to be able to endure the heat and humidity with such abandon. Finally, Daughtry ended his set with a Daughtry party on stage to Long Live Rock and Roll. To which I say…Long live Daughtry.
Hes OPENING for Goo Goo Dolls now?
Oops….Thanks for pointing this out….have corrected.
LOL!! I think you were right the first time. I think he is the opener.
Just read where Daughtry is doing 12 songs at the shows and Goo Goo Dolls are doing 24. I’d say Daughtry is the opener. 🙂
Did you happen to get any photos when Daughtry did Long Live Rock and Roll? I was on stage with my son and would LOVE a good photo.
