Ignite Live Review- RDGLDGRN brings the house down with Reggae, hip-hop music
Little Punk, A Little Hip Hop, & A Lot Of Reggae!
Thursday, Feb 16, 2017, was a perfect night for some live music down at Mavericks Live at The Landing in Jacksonville, FL.
The night started early with the soulful reggae sounds of the San Diego-based band Tribal Theory. Next up was RDGLDGRN. They fired up the crowd with their high energy blend of Hip Hop, Reggae, & Rock. This was my first time seeing these guys live. I’ve heard a lot of good chatter about them recently. So I was pretty excited to finally get to see them. They came out on stage with authority, demanding the attention of everyone there. Towards the end of their set, the singer, known as Green, jumped into the crowd and split it into two sides, having them compete to see who was the loudest. It was definitely a fun atmosphere where everyone seemed to be having a great time. That performance got the crowd ready for the headliners, The Expendables!
These guys have been around for right at 20 years and know how to keep the crowd going with a mix of old and new songs, including several off their upcoming E.P. “In This Moment”.
If the Winter Blackout Tour is coming to a city near you, I HIGHLY recommend getting to that show!
