[Live Review] Hatebreed/Devil Driver brings the Metal to Mavericks & takes no Prisoners !!
Hailing from New Haven, Connecticut Hatebreed has been one of the most consistent and influential hardcore/ metal bands since they formed in 2004. Driven by front man Jamey Jasta’s powerful voice and constant touring, Hatebreed has earned their place among metal’s biggest acts.

Playing to a packed house at Mavericks in Jacksonville FL on Tuesday, October 25th, they left fans satisfied and ears ringing. Playing several new tracks from their latest release, “The Concrete Confessional” as well as all the fan favorites they kept the energy high for the full 90 minute performance. I don’t think the small standing area at Mavericks will ever see a circle pit of that size again. This being my 5th Hatebreed show, I was expecting this to be a wild one and they did not let me down.
After walking off stage to a crowd chanting “HATEBREED” over and over again, they came back for an encore with a brutal version of “Everyone Bleeds Now” to an absolutely raging crowd.
Opening act Devil Driver featuring Dez Fafara of Coal Chamber fame also delivered a solid and heavy set.
Altogether, it was a show that should not have been missed by any Jacksonville metal fan and I’m stoked I went!
