1. Tell us a little bit about the band and how long you have been together for some of our readers that may not know about the band?
We are a three piece band with an old school rock and roll/new wave of classic rock sound. The bands line up has changed however the band has been going since 2016.
2. What is new with the band?..New Album out? New Videos?
We have just released our latest single/music video “What Are You Doing It For?” Which is available to purchase from our Bandcamp/website or to stream on iTunes, Spotify extra.
3. With all this madness going on with the virus…What do you think the music scene will be like in the future…and how are you prepared to make your music heard if there will not be any concerts or festivals for the year of 2020?
I believe the music scene will be reborn, I have already seen elements of this at the weekend when I drove past a pub car park filled with tables of people waiting for a band to take to the stage, it was a lovely sight and the enthusiasm for music is now very real! We have just this weekend recorded a live set which will be streamed for a festival so we shall roll with the internet world for as long as we have to and make sure that ball still keeps rolling.
4. What got you into music and what is your earliest memory of when you told yourself…”THIS IS WHAT I WANT”?
I saw The Pretty Reckless live when I was around 12 years old and I shouldn’t have been there as I was underaged but thank God I was because I’ll never forget how that kick drum felt through my chest and it is still the reason I love live gigs because they’re LOUD!
5. Who was your first concert and what is your best memory
My first concert memory is from being around four years old when I saw Billy Joel, I still love the song Piano Man to this day!
My best memory is seeing Def Leppard in Sheffield a few years ago, that opening riff left shivers down my spine that I’m still feeling even now.
6. If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing right now? Well the dream would be to be working as an editor in New York, but maybe not so realistic ha!
7. On a scale of 1 to 2593, How good is your newest single compared to your last single? (my attempt at humor, but please still answer)
HA! 2592 I’ll stay just a bit humble. Although I feel I’m being a bit unfair to the previous single as it still kicks a**.
8. What do you feel is the best song you have released to date and why?. “What Are You Doing It For” (our latest single) I think it shows the best elements of all the band memebers we all have a wow moment in the song and it is just catchy!
9. Do you think you can get any better as a musician/singer? And if so, How would you achieve that?
I believe that we are always improving as musicians so yes. We get better by practicing obviously, new experiences (gigs) and working with new people (players who are better than me)
10. If you could give your fans one random fact about you that you think they should (or should “not” know) about you what would that be?
I love pasta!
11. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Pink – “Coz it’s not even a question” Aerosmith
12. Who are you inspired by?
Lzzy Hale, Joanne Shaw Taylor.
13. What’s an average day like on tour? and what about these days?
Eat, drive, eat, play, eat, sleep, repeat.
14. Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans?
At gigs I always spend time before and after chatting to fans. I tend to respond online via Facebook/Instagram/Twitter posts.
15. Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?
Yes when I first started performing, one day it just disappeared, it has been a long time since I was that nervous.
16. Tell me about your favorite performance venues?
O2 Academy Leeds and 100 Club London, I think mainly because of the history behind these two venues and how good the gigs have been when we have played there.
17. What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps? Work hard, stay humble and write good songs.
