Run River North rushes into Jacksonville for their first show in Florida @ The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

Run River North finally makes its way to Florida for their first ever show in the Sunshine State at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville Florida. From the sound of all the buzz around the sold out  hall, and around the internet, they have made many new fan from the show.

Opening up for the Goo Goo Dolls on their Otis Midnight Session in the intimate hall just off the Atlantic coast in Ponte Vedra,.Run River North warmed up the crowd  with their folk rock sound that got the people out of their seats and dancing in the isles, and tapping their toes to the beat.

You could say that the “Big Break” began with a prank that was pulled on the six-piece band in 2012 after the group, then known as Monsters Calling Home, recorded a music video (“Fight to Keep”) in their Honda car. The automaker invited the band to perform – supposedly in front of 600 Honda Executive  – but pulled a last-minute prank that put them on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The sold out house met them at every pass, responding to an eclectic folk-rock musical mix that has elements of Mumford And Sons, and the Lumineers, male/female vocal interplay and inspirational lyrics that deal with the struggles of the Asian-American dream.

The band is really tight in their vocals and their music. Though out the set they they gained more and more fans.

Considering the backgrounds of the band, Run River North has come quite far in three years from their music to their fan base.

Run River North knows a thing or two about putting together a monster set.
