FLORIDA THEATRE ISSUES CONSUMER WARNING!
JACKSONVILLE, FL, APRIL16, 2014 – The historic Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville has been made aware that some of the tickets to their upcoming events are being sold at outrageous prices! Our John Legend Show is “Sold Out” and unfortunately, we have found scalpers selling tickets to the event for $1000 each! Not one cent of the markup goes to the artist or the theatre, and if there is anything wrong with an order, the theatre cannot help the customer because they did not purchase the tickets from the theatre. The Florida Theatre advises the public that tickets to performances at the Florida Theatre are available exclusively from the theatre’s own ticket office and website, or from Ticketmaster, which is the Florida Theatre’s ticketing vendor. Even if a show is sold out, customers should call the Florida Theatre to verify and guarantee their seats!
The Florida Theatre is gearing up for the following upcoming events: Rob Thomas, April 29, 8pm; Brit Floyd, May 4, 8pm; our Rock the Roof Gala featuring Chris Botti onMay 17; MOVE Live on Tour, June 12, 8pm; Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns, June 26, 8pm and Ray LaMontagne, July 15, 7:30pm. Tickets are available from the Florida Theatre Ticket Office, located at 128 East Forsyth Street in downtown Jacksonville, 904-355-ARTS (2787) or floridatheatre.com.
Tickets will go fast for these outstanding events, so customers should purchase now to avoid scalpers!
