Formed in 2010 the Lehighton, PA based band Another Day Dawns continues to be the most talked about up and coming rock act in the Northeast to Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Led by Lead Singer and
front man Dakota Sean, Guitarist Tyler Ritter, and Drummer Nick McGeehan, the band released their EP A Different Life in February 2018 which landed them a charting spot on Billboard which solidified their foundation in the active rock market.
1. Tell us a little bit about the band and how long you have been together for some of our readers that may not know about the band?
The band started out in 2011 STRICTLY playing covers for our parents and their friends. We eventually got on the same page to start writing original music and really wanted to get out of the barscene. Somehow it blossomed into what we have to day. It’s been humbling to see so many people becoming fans of ours.
I used to watch my dad play out shows when I was younger which was a HUGE influence. That was pretty much what I wanted to do with my life. The ting that really keeps me going is when we get onto stage and we hear everyone cheering us on. I do not think there is any bigger rush or greater feeling than that.
3. So, what is new with the band?..New Album out? New Videos?
We released our EP Stranger back in January and the last two videos Taste of Heaven and Beautiful Suicide which are both out on Youtube right now. We are getting thousands of streams everyday and it is really surreal to watch the band grow.
4. If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing right now?
Ummm…I would probably still be in college still trying to find something else to be doing with my life. LOL
5. What is the weirdest or funniest question you have ever been asked?
This one. LOL
6. If you can have your fans remember you for one thing, what would that be?
A great live show or energetic live show.
7. On a scale of one to 2593, How good is your new single compared to your last single?
(my attempt at humor, but please still answer)
HAHA. Honestly I think this is a question for the fans to answer. While I love all of our songs, the popularity really is driven by the fans and how they perceive us.
8. If you could give your fans one random fact about you that you think they should (or
should “not” know) about you what would that be?
Hmmmmmm,…..Honestly I am really good. at voice impressions. LOL. If we meet maybe I will do one or two.
9. Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?
I personally have not. Maybe 20 to 30 minutes before the show, I get the butterflies but once I get out on the stage it all goes away. I have never really had a panic attack or anything like that.
10. Tell me about your favorite performance venues
Musikfest is a huge one that we have done and Penns Peak is a monster in our hometown area. those are the places we love to be at and have had such great experiences.
11. What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Honestly, we put the band number one, everything else came second. This is everything that we wanted to do and even gave up school. You literally have to sacrifice everything. Either you go all the way, or you play for fun.
Hitting the road with bands such as Hinder, Issues, Cold, and Buckcherry, the band has created an established following
in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Throughout the last two years the band has performed in multiple venues with 400-1200 capacity, filling hundreds of seats, and grossing over 13K in followers on their social media accounts.
