5th annual~ Ronnie James DIO annual fight against cancer~Rock ‘N’ Roll, Bowling, Pizza, Family fun night to fight against stomach cancer!!

The 5th annual Ronnie James DIO annual fight against cancer in honor of the singer who has and is still a influence who passed way was held at PINZ bowling on November 7, 2019 at Studio City, California. This disease that is does not get the attention as other cancer though is harder to fight.  Announced at the bowl for and update to Dr. David Wong  at UCLA who is overseeing the research is that within the three months or early 2020 to the labs to be tested for this cancer by salvia. The Stand Up And Shout foundation has currently donated 2.5 million dollars to Dr.  Wong’s research team with continue support for this cause.

Again hosted by Eddie Trunk (Sirius, That Metal Show) with celebrity bowlers that went on or not the red carpet but percolated to bowl and mingle with friends and fans were:   Steven Adler (Guns N’ Roses), Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and Brent Woods (Sebastian Bach) plus eBay auction winner Dan Hayes. During the event I asked Joey Vera bass player of Armored Saint what is the status with Motor sister new music with Scott Ian of Anthrax. He said, before coming to the event they were rehearsing and plan to record the new album around March 2020 and to have it released late 2020. Also asked Terry Ilous of XYZ, with new music and he said the band is currently work on new songs with drummer Greg D’Angelo of White Lion.

Dave Grohl was the popular guy of the night to get any photos with. Also there were raffles and trophies handed out for high and low scores for the night.  It’s always have night for all and for the cause that affects all of us directly or indirectly.

At the end of the event Wendy DIO announced for February 20,2020  a show at the Wiltern Theater and Los Angeles with the DIO hologram and other surprises.
