Skillet/Alter Bridge/Dirty Honey ~ These three bands really brought the goods. Non stop, no-slack show.
Alter Bridge, co-headlining with Skillet, on the Victorious Sky tour (combining both bands album names – Victorious and Walk the Sky) had excellent support from Dirty Honey with two nights at the House Of Blues in Orlando.
Perfection! Alter Bridge is the best band in rock today. Their live performance in Orlando was fun and exhilarating as always. Their music has so many complex layers of orchestration and lyrics that contain meaning and soul. One of the best hard rock bands ever (have i said that already..haha), in peak form, with great sound and a solid, no-frills performance. House of Blues Orlando is like a home show for the band and was a perfect venue for this kind of show. Myles Kennedy is an amazing vocalist and his voice was in great shape. I also didn’t realize how good of a guitarist he also is, a perfect foil for Mark Tremonti’s consummate lead guitar skill.
The setlist was diverse, showcasing the bands phenomenal discography. The band was fantastic, with outstanding performances from each member, a healthy amount of audience interaction, and the band was able to successfully keep the crowd involved with various sing along opportunities throughout the set. The total package of Miles Kennedy, one of the most incredible voices in Rock and Rock Guitar God Mark Tremonti and the impeccable musicianship of Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips is one of the best experiences ever. The vibe of an Alter Bridge show is powerful and unforgettable!!
This was the second to the last show in the state for this year, I am sure they will be back in 2020..So make sure you go see them to witness the amazing band!!
Alter Bridge will begin their European headline tour next month. The passion and fire in a (Skillet) live show is unbelievable! Skillet does such a great job putting on a show. They played their best songs and introduced a new one yet to be released. The Coopers write some great lyrics. The Shredder is incredible and Jen has a great voice. Not only are they a great band but they sent a powerful message that night as they always do!!! Christian rock is amazing!!! Jon Cooper is a beast! I respect him(& the band)more as the years go by!
We talked to one fan and this is what they said…
Skillet has been my all time favorite band since high school and they never disappoint. I have been lucky enough to see them live on three separate occasions, and each time they always outperform everyone they’re with and continue to amaze with their performances each time. I couldn’t recommend this band enough lyrically, as well as by their sound.
Dirty Honey was good for an opening band. This is a band that’s 4 guys that know how to Rock and Roll. Plug and play the old school way, with great vocals and songs. The songs are great and they are great live. A must see new band, thank for a great night!!
