Violent New Breed’s upcoming full-length, Bad Reputation, drops Oct. 25 via SBG Records., which features former Escape The Fate bassist Max Green, The band is gearing up for the release of their debut full-length, Bad Reputation. With the album less than a month away, the band are teaming up with Ignite Music to share their next single, “Worth It.”

After parting ways with Escape The Fate and a short stint with Falling In Reverse in 2014, Green began Violent New Breed the following year. Shortly after its launch, he gave a preview of the new project with several demos including “Only The Strong Survive,” “Casket Dream” and “Devil’s Deal.”

In May of this year, they returned with Green on bass and an entirely new lineup—vocalist/guitarist Sean Russell, guitarist Shawn McGhee and drummer Charlie Nicholson. The band marked the explosive comeback by recruiting former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones for “Bury Me,” their first single off Bad Reputation.

We were able to get in a few questions with Max about the band and how it all started..to the new album!

Tell us a little bit about the band and how long you have been together for some of our readers that may not know about the band?

Well the band is called Violent New Breed, and I’ve been talking openly about the project for a few years now and I’ve recorded some demos with friends and released them and I did do 1 quick tour just for the hell of it with some friends, but it just recently became an actual legit band maybe a year or so ago.

What got you into music and what keeps you going night after night playing?

I got into music like a lot of other kids did, through lack of friends, being unpopular in school and through problems at home. Music was and is my best friend and never let me down.

So, what is new with the band?..New Album out? New Videos?

Well the band has A LOT going on at the moment! We have a new album coming out October 25th! We just released a new track called “Worth It” and was added to spotify’s New Metal playlist. We’re also releasing another new song early next month as well as dropping a music video for a song called “Crazy” with the release of the album!!

If you didn’t become a musician, what would you  be doing right now?

oh man, if I wasn’t a musician I feel like I definitely would’ve pursued a career in entertainment, possibly an actor/comedian!

What is the weirdest or funniest question you have ever been asked?

oh man, if I wasn’t a musician I feel like I definitely would’ve pursued a career in entertainment, possibly an actor/comedian!

What is the weirdest or funniest question you have ever been asked?

The weirdest/funniest question I’ve been asked……..well the first to come to mind is when I was asked my favorite body part on myself…….obviously it’s my……well I’m sure you can figure that out.

On a scale of 1 to 2593, How good is your new single compared to your last single?

oh man… on a scale of 1-2593 huh? Haha…Well in my personal opinion I like our new single “Worth It” much more overall than our last one, called “Before I Fall”, but the last single was what I call a “sleeper track” it’s not something that immediately caught on but I’m still hearing more and more people comment and say that they really like it now as the days go on. So I guess I’d give the last one an 1800 and this one I give a 2200, I mean they’re all just gonna get better so I can’t tip the scale quite yet right!? Haha

If you could give your fans one random fact about you that you think they should (or should “not” know) about you what would that be?

a random fact…….when I was a baby, less than a year old, I almost died having surgery on my intestines. My mom was told I probably wouldn’t make it because of how young I was and how serious the surgery was, but HERE I AM!! Haha

Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans

I really enjoy talking with fans! I’m always offering them to get involved in some aspect of my life and art. I think that’s really fun and something cool for everyone.
