SLIPKNOT’S SHAWN ‘CLOWN’ CRAHAN THANKS FANS AFTER DAUGHTER’S DEATH

Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan has issued a letter of thanks to fans following the death of his youngest daughter, Gabrielle Crahan. The musician also gave thanks on behalf of his family during this tragic time.

Gabrielle Crahan’s death was revealed over the weekend via Slipknot’s social media platforms. A potential cause of death has not been announced, but in Crahan’s obituary, Gabrielle’s battle with drug addiction is mentioned, noting she fought it bravely for both herself and others who struggled.

Crahan is also remembered for her support for feminist and anti-bullying initiatives, as well as pit bull advocacy. The obit adds she “found a higher power which guided her through the tough times and good” throughout her final years.

Firstly: Chantel, Alexandria, Gage, Simon and I would like to thank everyone for the endless amount of love, prayers, thoughts, and kindness we have been receiving. While it is not possible for me to read and respond to each individual message & comment right now, I want you to know that we can feel the energy shared and we are so grateful. You have all proven that there is empathy, positivity, & strength in this community that we call humanity here on Earth.
Second: There will be a funeral for my daughter Gabrielle on Sunday May 26th. Flowers may be sent to the Scottish Rite Consistory in Des Moines. Cards & condolences may be directed to Iles Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Thank you endlessly,Shawn and family

As mentioned above, fans may send flowers to the Scottish Rite Consistory in Des Moines, while cards and condolences may be directed to Iles Funeral Home.
