At the event Wendy DIO talked about the new Ronnie James DIO hologram that will be used on stage for the DIO Disciples shows this year. She says “Jeff Pezzuti the CEO of Eyellusion came to me about the idea and I wasn’t sure. So we did one at the 2016 Wacken music festival at Germany in front of 75, 000 people and short tour of Europe to see how it went and were well received but I wasn’t really happy. But now the technology two years later is incredibly more so we did a completely new one. The one going out is new and no one has ever seen it and is a whole spectical with Ronnie’s live tracks with the hologram, his live band that played with for the last 17 years: Craig Goldy, Simon Wright, Scott Warren, Bjorn Englen, Tim ‘Ripper”, and Oni Logan come in and out and sing together, on their own and with Ronnie. We have dragons going on and all kind of special effects going on and fun something like Ronnie would like he used to do.” It is like a miniature version of the Sacred Heart tour? “Yes, yes it is on par with that and Ronnie would be really, really happy with this as we try to create a hologram at that time with the crystal ball with Ronnie’s head in there. He was always intrigued with the holograms and we know we have is blessing and he is with us for this and for the kids. It is a expensive venture and don’t when we pay the money back but right now we are going for it, but to keep his memory and music alive and the kids who never got to see Ronnie get to see him and those would like to see him on stage again get to see him and this what we are doing it for. There are others out right now like Frank Zappa by the same hologram company getting standing ovations every night. Were talking to a lot of different people and Motorhead doing one in the next couple of years like Roy Orbinson and have one at the Ronald Regan library. I think it is the technology for the future.”Are there certain songs that Ronnie will be on stage for? “Yes, it is a 90 minute show and Ronnie will be there for half of the time. He comes in and out and you don’t know when he is coming on stage (Laughter) surprise. It would be nice with Jimmy Bain and she replied also with Cozy Powell and Lemmy.   Thanks for your time Wendy.

Update on the status of the test for Stomach Cancer, Dr David Wong at UCLA said the FDA approved the saliva testing and to get the medical labs across the country and other countries to implement the testing.

We wait until next year’s event will bring on the 10th anniversary of Ronnie’s passing.
