SHINEDOWN will release its sixth studio album, “ATTENTION ATTENTION”, on May 4 via Atlantic Records. Lead single “DEVIL” is out now along with the accompanying video. Directed by Bill Yukich (Beyonce, Marilyn Manson, Wiz Khalifa), the visual for “DEVIL” is a dramatic and visceral introduction to “ATTENTION ATTENTION”.

SHINEDOWN‘s most sophisticated and personal to date, it’s a journey that follows an individual from life’s lowest lows to the highest highs as anxieties dissipate and demons disappear, it hits you mental, emotional and physical throughout the whole album. At the beginning of the record, you can feel this intensity and these bold statements that are being made, the record progresses, you hear the individual and the record start to shift, it starts to get their courage back, and they start to understand what’s going on, they’re having to face emotions that they’ve never really faced before.

The opener and lead single “DEVIL” is a flood of steady rhythms and hammering guitar riffs that set you up for the rest of the album. There is a story that begins to unfolds as the album evolves into an all-powerful and abiding statement about the resolve of the human spirit, our will to overcome anything we put out minds to, and learning to respect and learn from one another. “ATTENTION ATTENTION” does just that, it grabs your attention and doesn’t let go, it hooks you in and get you singing at the top of your lungs.”DARKSIDE” is a song that gets the blood flowing and I’m sure will be a crowd favorite, its just one of those songs that will get the people jumping up and throwing their fist up. ” Welcome to the new revolution” is the chat of “EVOLVE“, a song about evolving to make things better even if we feel that it is not possible. By album closer “BRILLIANT,”, where you normally hear a ballad that put the band and the fan together to say goodbye and thank you, the LP has transcended to a rafters-reaching major-key hook that defiantly proclaims it’s “my day to be brilliant”.

BRILLIANT is a fitting end to this album because this album is BRILLIANT!, There is not a song on this album that you just melt into and become one with it.

“ATTENTION ATTENTION” is available for pre-order now at all DSPs and each pre-order will include an instant download of “DEVIL”. Deluxe album bundles are available at the official SHINEDOWNwebstore, including the limited transparent yellow colored double vinyl, a 3′ x 5′ flag and exclusive “ATTENTION” and “DEVIL” t-shirts. The first 500 Ultimate Vinyl and first 500 Ultimate CD bundle purchasers will receive a signed copy of the album.

To ring in the album, Shinedown has revealed a few dozen tour dates throughout North America and Europe, kicking off with a pair of shows March 23-24 in Deadwood, S.D. That includes an eight-show run in Canada, an area the band skipped on its last jaunt, as well as a newly announced co-headlining schedule with Godsmack in the summer, beginning with a July 22 set in Detroit and concluding Sept. 2 in Wantagh, N.Y. “We’re not gonna do the traditional, ‘play the single and maybe one other,'” Smith says, saying that the band will “definitely surprise the audience. We always try to keep ’em guessing.”
