Tesla took the stage at the Florida Theater Friday night to a nearly packed house, and it was an hour and a half of pure rocking fun. With a catalog of songs that could take days to sing, Tesla brought the 80s back to life again. The band was hot, hot, hot with guitar riffs and runs that went for days. Frank Hannon and Dave Rude had the crowd begging for more with their guitar sounds on The Way It Is. Everyone was on their feet the entire set, singing along and dancing in the aisles.
Fan favorites like Hang Tough, Mama’s Fool, Lazy Days and Crazy Nights had the audience rocking and rolling. The guitar duet by Frank Hannon and Dave Rude as an intro to Love Song was phenomenal, and lead singer Jeff Keith banged it out to Heaven’s Trail, Signs (cover), and Edison’s Medicine. The band finished their set with Modern Day Cowboy to thunderous applause.
Tesla has lost none of their hard-hitting rock – and is on the Monsters of Rock Cruise.
