Following sold-out fall tour dates in North America, Glass Animals are returning to the U.S. for two additional headlining shows and special radio show performances in December. The band will play the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN November 27th and The National in Richmond, VA on November 30th before hitting the holiday radio show circuit, playing 9 shows including WXXJ’s Winter Ball in Jacksonville, FL, KNDD’s Deck the Halls in Seattle, WA, and 98.7’s December 2 Remember at LA’s El Rey Theatre (see below for full list of dates).
Glass Animals’ electrifying live performances, including two sold-out nights at NYC’s Terminal 5 and sold-out night at LA’s Greek Theatre, have earned the band an incredible fan base around the world. Paste praises their live shows, declaring “the backstories of the songs are as rich and developed as the band’s on-stage dynamics and energy” and The Wild Honey Pie proclaims “Glass Animals just keep getting better. They’re honing in on an incredible mix of hip-hop, R&B and rock which makes them truly stand out in a sea of new sounds.” Their shows are not to be missed, with Magnetic Magazine advising “Glass Animals are just hitting their stride and are a sight to be seen whenever you get the chance.”
The band is touring in support of their critically acclaimed sophomore album, How To Be A Human Being, released this past summer via Harvest Records. The album debuted Top 20 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Alternative Albums chart. The album’s first single “Life Itself” has spent 24 weeks total on SiriusXM’s AltNation Alt-18 Countdown, including 6 weeks at #1, and “Youth” has been featured as one of NPR’s “10 Songs Public Radio Can’t Stop Playing.”
Glass Animals has recently been featured on Spotify’s Global 25 Under 25 List, highlighting their frequent placement on Spotify’s “Rock This” playlist and the 2.5 million monthly listeners the band attracts. The band averages 650,000 Spotify streams daily, and has amassed over 250 million audio streams and nearly 45 million video views. How To Be A Human Being has been embraced by fans and the press alike, and has been pronounced a “complex, exciting tapestry” by Associated Press and a “colorful collage of life” by Consequence of SoundUSA Today asserts “no one creates atmospheric pop quite like Glass Animals.”
