Vans Warped Tour Artist Interview- Night Argent

NA Show PromoThe Young guns from Night Argent have been slowly making a name for themselves for the last few years, and being voted in to playing the Vans Warped Tour the last two years is just the thing that is going to throw them into the spotlight faster than anything.

Night Argent recently partnered with Red Bull to release their debut music video ‘Nothing More Beautiful.’ Their music has won Grand Prize at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and awards from the Billboard World Song Contest and ISC. The Night Argent YouTube channel has generated over 2 Million views; while their music has been featured on MTV, Bravo, and Showtime.

Ignite was able to throw the guys a few questions at them just in time before they head out on the VWT, and we asked them a few thing about the tour and about some things they liked, and the Music Industry…Check it out !!

What does it mean to you and the band to be playing Vans Warped Tour this year ?

It means a lot to be back on The Vans Warped Tour again this year. This will be our second year so the fact that we get this opportunity again is really motivating us to take advantage of every opportunity we might not have been able to before.

What or Who are you most excited to see on the tour this year ?

As a band I know we are really looking forward to seeing 3OH!3, Good Charlotte, Mayday Parade, New Found Glory… Pretty much everyone

If you had your pick..What would be your favorite song to play on stage?..And Why?

Our favorite song to play on stage is Widowmaker. It just brings this energy every time we play it and thats kind of how we gauge most things, off energy.

If you would have had the chance to write any song, what song would it be? (It could be any song that has been recorded)

The one song we wish we would have wrote would be “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby. That song was released in 1942 and has sold over 15 million copies, it would be nice have that one under our belts

If you had anything to change in the musicindustry what would it be,and how would you change it if you have a chance to do it?

Tough question! Were not totally sure what we would change in the music industry. We just want to make music and for people to like it.

Name one group that you would want to do your farewell tour with?

One band we would love to get out and tour with would be X Ambassadors. We had the chance to play a show with them in Austin 2 years ago at SXSW and they were just the coolest group of guys, and we have loved there music for years now.

Name one song that you would like to be known for the most?

“Widowmaker” would probably be the one song we would want people to hear and right away think Night Argent. Like we said before it just really connects and is big and epic live.

What is the best thing about tour you like..and what is the worst?

The best thing about touring is getting out and playing shows for other people who love music just as much as us, and getting to know everyone before and after the show. and the worst of being on the road and touring is being away from family and friends back home.

Why do you think the Vans Warped Tour has been such a success over the many years it has been going on?

Thanks!

Vans Warped Tour will never die, after going as a fan, and now as a band member I feel like we have had a great example of what tour can be. Its all about stripping away the negativity of what is happening all around us and focusing on the more universal love we all share, music. So as long as that doesn’t stop, people will always be lining up at the gates, waiting to be let in for a full day of music.
