Following on from well received appearances at Hammerfest and Wildfire Festival, painted-up York alt-metal powerhouse A Joker’s Rage have unleashed a Yorkshire-inspired version of Tupac and Dre’s ‘California Love’.
‘California Love’ marks the band’s first release following on from 2015’s alternative masterstroke, ‘Black Sheep’. A new album is expected to be unleashed later this year.
Of the cover, vocalist Zakk Taylor comments: “When we do a cover, we do something unexpected and this tune is a banger! The fans love it and the demand for us to record it has been insane. Hip Hop inspires us as does every genre of music. If you’re going to do a cover, make it your own and do something out of the normal comfort barriers!“
A Joker’s Rage are: Zakky Boy Taylor (Vocals), Adam ‘Twiggy’ Gauton (Guitars), Geordie Ginface (Bass), Matt ‘Bam Bam’ Collinge (Drums/Keys).
