REPS Release Powerful Debut Single “Dead In The Water”

unnamed (1)Hailing from Rochester, New York, the Hardcore clan REPS incorporate raw elements of Metal, Rock, Post Harcore, and Punk genres to infuse a sound all of their own. Just last month, REPS unveiled new details of their forthcoming debut album, Poisoned Youth, a masterful 10 track album due out April 29th, filled with lessons for today’s youth, songs that speak from the heart, and showcase their thoughts and emotions through fast paced songs, thundering riffs and a commanding form of structure.

“This song is where the record’s title comes from. It seems like every generation in some way repeats all of the previous generation’s mistakes, and inherits most of, if not all of their vices. War, Racism, Sexism, Homophobia the list could go on. It seems crazy that after all mankind has gone through and learned, that these all exist. In many ways, the world we live in now is far more terrifying than it ever was for our parents when they were our age. All of us are close to the age where we could be starting families of our own, but the thought of doing that in these times often induces immediate fear and anxiety. No matter how much we learn from the mistakes of our elders, and how many opportunities we have to be better; we still fall prey to the same vices. We are the product of our ancestors and failed ambitions to be better. We are the poisoned youth.”

REPS are not afraid to call out the evils and deceptions of people in power, racism, greed, and hate The band used extensive lyrical topics of war, protest, freethinking and self-sustained destruction while encouraging people to gain strength and push forward with their lives.

Poisoned Youth, will infuse a multitude of genres and offer a raw and untamed sound as a vessel to shed light on these transgressions.
