Platinum-selling guitarist “Space Ace” Ace Frehley with special guest Geoff Tate hit the stage at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for their first stop on this East Coast swing with his sounds that are out of the world. In support of his new Origins Vol. 1, a collection of 12 newly recorded classics from Ace’s formative years featuring some of the biggest names in rock and roll, on April 15, 2016. Most notably, KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY joins ACE on Free’s hit “Fire and Water.” This collaboration marks the first time that Ace and Paul appear on the same studio recording since KISS’ 1998 reunion album Psycho Circus.
Ace Frehley with the rest of his invader Richie Scarlet, who rode shotgun performing rhythm guitar and vocal duties on Ace‘s “Trouble Walking” platter in 1989,On bass and vocals will be Chris Wyse, Chris is well known as the bass player from THE CULT since 2006. Scot Coogan will be behind the drum kit for Frehley‘s upcoming tour. Coogan played with Frehley for five years until 2012 when he left Ace‘s band to focus on other projects.
Ace and the guys played masterfully, hitting on all cylinders and Smashing through hit after hit from some old kiss tune like ” Cold Gin” to present day soon to be hits like the newly released song “EMERALD” (a Thin lizzy cover) which he release with some a little help from the one and only Slash.
This may have been his first show in few years, but it did not show , Ace was ripping through the riffs on his guitar like he had been touring for months, as well as richie who was showing us all some great moves and guitar skills, and moves on stage, he is a rock star for sure. Chris was throwing down some made bass as well, hitting it hard. And talking about hitting hard..Scot was smashing those drum like no tomorrow.
You can really tell Frehley and his comrades on stage were soaring through space on stage and they were taking all of us on their journey like we were all his space invaders. The whole audience was strapped in and went on a Galactic trip back in time and them back to the present, and we may have seen a glimpse of the future as well.

Geoff Tate and the Operation mindcrime crew opened up for Ace and took us on a trip down memory lane as well..With them breaking out some old school from the old Queensryche days as well as some more current tunes as well. Geoff still has the chops to sing this the old stuff, he did not miss a note..belting out songs like “Operation Mind Crime” and “Jet City Women”. The even dipped into the archive of The Warning album.
