Los Angeles rock band Silver Snakes -Consisting of Alex Estrada on vocals/guitar, Mike Trujillo on bass guitar, Jeremiah Bignell on guitar, and Garrett Harney on drums-hit the small stage at Jack Rabbits live, on there way to hit the bigger stages throughout the east coast and back to the west coast, opening up for Glassjaw as well as Coheed and Cambria at some of the bigger venues.
Jack Rabbits was a buzz this night, and it was a nice turn out for a Sunday night show with two great band on the bill. Silver Snakes hit the stage like strike from a diamond back rattle snake. Hit their stride from the get go to win over the fans in attendants. And they did just that., The more they played the more the rockers creeped up to the stage to get a better look and sound of the band.
Frontman Alex Estrada’s lyrics are broad and open-ended, and the bass playing by Mike Trujillo really hit the mark with some high energy playing on stage, Bignell and Harney both played spectacularly as well. Their sound does take a little to get used to, but once they get the down to the nitty gritty of who they are they start to grow on you and you start to really get a feel for what and who they are.
After seeing their promising performance, I had a revitalized drive to check them out again, These guys are going places, especially with the help of Coheed frontman Claudio Sanchez and his newly formed label Evil Ink Records.
