Reggae and hip hop artist Matisyahu and his “Festival of Light” Tour will perform for two nights, Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19, 2015.

Since first emerging on the international stage in 2005,Matisyahu has established a reputation for following his muse—from the stripped-down roots reggae of the gold-certifiedLive at Stubb’s to the trippy ministrations of Youth to the polished pop eclecticism of Light.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of his breakthrough album, Live at Stubb’s, Matisyahu has taken a new look at the music that first made his reputation in Live at Stubb’s III: A 10-Year Journey. In stripped-back, sit-down shows in March of 2015, Matisyahu performed new arrangements of his early reggae hits from the original album, along with a selection of later favorites up through Akeda. This tour, which includes two nights at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in December, reconnects Matisyahu with long-time musical collaborators and friends from his early touring days, including Live at Stubb’s guitarist Aaron Dugan. Matisyahu and his band will present an evening of stripped-back arrangements highlighting the music that launched his career while taking fans of all ages on a journey through the evolution of Live at Stubb’s to his most recent release Akeda.

Matisyahu’s long and prodigious career has included touring the world, releasing five studio albums and selling 3.5 million tracks to date, and now on the 10th anniversary of his breakthrough album Live at Stubb’s he is releasing a new album that celebrates the fan favorite original. Live at Stubb’s Vol. III (to be released October 2, 2015) takes a new look at Matisyahu’s extensive catalogue with stripped down and reworked versions of favorites such as “King Without a Crown”.
