Mayhem Fest may just be a memory after 2015 – But Heavy Metal is here to stay \m/ !!!

This years line up was kinda disappointing from the start but its the only traveling heavy metal fest around, and I was hoping it was going knock my pants off with some really killer sets. There were some good bands and I did enjoy myself but they entire event was so much smaller then previous years, instead of 3/4 stages and around 20 bands there was 2 stages with about 10 bands.

Lack of ticket sales was obvious by the fact that they didn’t even open the lawn area (I’ve never seen that before) and upgraded everyone to pavilion seating witch was bittersweet because the atmosphere of the festival I’m used to just wasn’t there this year

Amazing performance by SLAYER!! Metal Gods indeed \m/ Stage setup, pyro, lighting, everything was perfect!!

King Diamond was unbelievably good, terrific song selection and rhythms and solos played to perfection! I’ve seen him several times and have always enjoyed his performances. Slayer started slowly but eventually played old classics and whipped the crowd into a frenzy! I was so amazed to hear Hell Awaits live, i’ve seen Slayer over 100 times and never heard that before! Tom’s vocal range is bereft of high notes but that was fine as he’s still awesome.  But a great time was had by all of us and it was still a great time!
