[Concert Review] Bryan Adams Brings The Thunder to St. Augustine Amphitheater!!

IMAG1658Bryan Adams still has it!.. Bryan Adams really brought it to the St Augustine Amphitheater on June 28th.Even with a little rain delay he didnt delay on bring down the house with every note and wooed the crowd from start to finish. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of his "Reckless" album, he and his band came out and were full throttle right from the start, performing the entire "Reckless" album, including a few songs that didn't make the original release. This concert was even more special not because it's been so long but the Reckless 30 Year Anniversary!!! . Wish he could of played awhile longer, bet eh' we aren't in our 20's anymore and the concert was just under 2 hours. If you haven't ever seen Bryan Adams Live you must. He is very big in including and interacting with his audience.

He finished the “Reckless” portion of the show with a rousing version of “Summer of ’69”, which had the  St. Augustine Amphitheater rocking. The rest of the show was mostly a collection of greatest hits!

Highlights of the show (for me, at least) were: Run to You, Summer of ’69, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Cuts Like a Knife, Straight From the Heart and Lonely Nights – He also did a rocking rendition of Eddie Cochran’s “Come on Everybody” as well as a cover from Roger Daltrey (Let me down easy) which he said he wrote. Each song brought back so many memories as you can see it in the eyes and the the voices at the the whole crowd would sing along to almost every song.
The Band had energy & guitarist, Keith Scott was amazing as well as the fantastic drumming of Mickey Currey. Scott even did a guitar solo like no other..laying on the stage playing and wreathing around really getting into the music. Adams looked great & sounded even better. My fav was when crowd sang w/ him each song we all grew up w/. It took me back to those high school summers & made you really nostalgic in good way.His voice has not changed one bit!!! A lot of the older bands that i have seen just don’t sound good anymore..but Bryan was awesome.i highly recommend seeing him
Thanks Bryan your still the Best!!!!
