Matisyahu and Radical Something teamed up to give the fans at The Florida Theater in Jacksonville the time of their lives.
Radical Something is an independent trio composed of Alex Lagemann (Loggy), Josh Hallbauer (Josh Cocktail), and Michael Costanzo (Big Red). The trio “blends hip-hop and rock with a decidedly Californian vibe”.Radical Something but on a high energy show that got the Theater people up out of their chair with fists in the air and waving them side to side.
Known for blending Orthodox Jewish themes with reggae, rock and hip hop beatboxing sounds, Matisyahu’s 2005 single “King Without a Crown” was a Top 40 hit in the United States. Since 2004, he has released four studio albums as well as two live albums, two remix CDs and two DVDs featuring live concerts. In addition, Matisyahu played the role of Tzadok in The Possession, a supernatural horror film directed by Ole Bornedal and co-produced by Sam Raimi. Matisyahu slowly walked on the stage of majestic Florida Theater to a round applause from the theater, and smoothly sat down on the stool that was placed in the center of the stage and started of with the night with “A Star Will Rise” and “Black Heart”. It took him awhile to get warmed up but once he did, it got the crowd dancing in the isles.
