Plain White Ts opened the Goo Goo Dolls tour at the St Augustine Amphitheater with an energetic American Nights, title track of their newest album, to get the fans on their feet, followed by Helium. Tim Lopez then showed off his fantastic vocals with a clean, acoustic ballad, The Giving Tree. The crowd was totally immersed in 1,2,3,4 with everyone singing along. Should’ve Gone to Bed brought a huge round of applause from the crowd to be followed by Hey There Delilah which had all the fans on their feet begging for more. Plain White Ts concluded their set with Rhythm of Love which featured great drums and fantastic vocals. Plain White Ts are that rare band that sounds even better in person than on their sound tracks, and after seeing them on stage, I have become a fan.
