Silverstein hits the stage like a hurricane @Freebird Live in Jacksonville Florida

Silverstein-2013Formed in 2000 in Burlington, ON Canada, Silverstein has become as close to a household name as you can get in the post-hardcore scene. After 5 full length albums, 3 EP’s, a live album, mini album, and numerous 7″ singles and collections, Silverstein have sold more than 1 million albums worldwide. The lineup has remained largely the same over their 12 years on the scene and features Shane Told (vocals), Paul Koehler (drums), Josh Bradford (guitar), Billy Hamilton (bass) and Paul-Marc Rousseau (guitar).

Silverstein has played more than 1500 shows in 34 countries, and have been a staple on many festivals and tours. They have been a part of Vans Warped Tour, Take Action!, Taste of Chaos, Rock Am Ring (Germany), Soundwave (Australia), Give it a Name (UK), and also co-founded the Scream It Like You Mean It tour in 2010

Silverstein hit the stage running at the Freebird Live in Jacksonville this past weekend contributing to the HOLLOW BODIES TOUR supporting Blessthefall, The Amity Affiction, Secrets, and Heartist. This line-up is one hell of a line up, with every set better then the next.

It’s been almost a decade since I last saw Silverstein and they didn’t disappoint. The energy and quality those 5 brought was unparalleled. The setlist was a perfect mix of slow, fast, old and new songs which satisfied almost every fan, especially considering how large their catalog is. They spoke to the crowd both during and after the show, they were open to taking pictures with the fans, giving autographs etc. You could just tell how passionate they still are about making music and performing. So happy I went to see them! It was incredibly nostalgic. Easily the best $25 I’ve ever spent. I would’ve payed $100 to see these guys.

Set List was as followed :
