New Show Announcement: Ottmar Liebert and Luna Negra Return to Ponte Vedra Concert Hall





Ponte Vedra Beach, FL–(Monday, April 14, 2014) — Flamenco guitarist and composer Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra return to perform at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Friday, June 13.


Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra formed in 1989 to the distinct New Flamenco sound. Their first recorded Marita: Shadows and Storms was a self-produced album. Higher Octave Music released a remade edition titled Nouveau Flamenco in 1990. The album went on to sell double-platinum in the United States and is recognized as one of the best-selling guitar albums of all time. Liebert’s albums Borrasca (1991), Solo Para Ti (1992), and The Hours Between Night + Day (1993), all earned Gold certification honors. Throughout his career, Ottmar has released 25 albums including his first solo guitar recording titled One Guitar in 2006. His newest releases are Up Close (2008), which is a binaural dummy head surround sound recording, and The Scent of Light (2008) a labor of five years. He has received a total of 38 Gold and Platinum certifications in the United States and five Grammy nominations. He also received certifications in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.


Tickets for this seated show will go on sale this Friday, April 18 at 10AM. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and St. Augustine Amphitheatre box offices,, and all Ticketmaster outlets.
