Black Sabbath Collection Goes Digital | Audio Ink Radio

Black Sabbath are finally on iTunes. The legendary heavy metal band has put its full catalog of studio albums featuring original frontman Ozzy Osbourne for sale as digital downloads in the U.S. via iTunes. In addition, the albums – which kick off with Black Sabbath’s 1970 debut and run through the band’s 1978 release, “Never Say Day!” — have been remastered specifically for iTunes.

Outside of Black Sabbath’s ‘70s-era studio albums, two compilations from the band are for sale: 1976′s “We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll” and 2006′s “Greatest Hits 1970-1978.” A new, digital box set called “The Complete Studio Albums 1970-1978” is also available, boasting Black Sabbath’s first eight records.

“Great news, been a long time trying to explain to fans why the music wasn’t available,” guitarist Tony Iommi said in a statement.

Black Sabbath’s upcoming North American tour will kick off March 31 in Brooklyn, N.Y. The tour – which is in support of the band’s No. 1-selling album, “13” – will close out April 26 in Los Angles.
